Calvary Chapel Schools (CCS) was established to meet the educational, social, and spiritual needs of the children of Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa. Position Purpose / Summary This position is for the 2026-2027 school year and is expected to start in August of 2026 As the Elementary School teacher, you would be responsible for planning, organizing and implementing a robust instructional program that would guide and encourage students to develop and fulfill their academic and spiritual potential. The ideal candidate will have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. They will be a minister of the Gospel in this position by ministering and praying for and with the students and parents as well as being an example to the staff, students, and parents. Responsibilities / Duties / Functions / Tasks Agree with and live out the vision and values of CCCM as outlined in the Statement of Faith (www.cccm.com). Agree with and live out Calvary Chapel’s Code of Conduct and Youth Protection Policy Be an example to those with whom you come in contact and with whom you serve by exuding the love of Christ. Understanding that it is a privilege to serve the Lord in vocational ministry and that those who serve God on staff at CCCM are expected to embrace a high biblical, Christ-like standard of conduct and lifestyle, both public and personal Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials to facilitate active learning at a high standard of excellence. Establishes and communicates clear objectives to meet the needs of all learners. Develops schemes of work, lesson plans and tests that are in accordance with established procedures. Using relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment. Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures. Provide appropriate feedback on work. Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies. Actively collaborates with colleagues in the capacity of a professional educator in our learning community, contributing to the culture through assigned duties, like committee membership, and co-curricular program involvement. Participate in department, school and parent meetings. Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs. Prepare classroom for class activities. Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments. Requirements / Qualifications / Education Bachelor’s degree Valid teaching credential (California or out-of-state equivalent preferred) Experience teaching elementary-aged students Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Must have the ability and proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
