The speech language pathologist is responsible for conducting speech and language assessments and providing therapy to students according to their individualized education plans. They also participate in team meetings, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate with parents and other professionals.

Candidates must hold a master’s degree in speech and language pathology and possess a current new york state license. Additionally, a certificate of clinical competency (Asha) and nysed certification as a teacher of speech and hard of hearing are required.
