Special Education Behavior Support Teacher

The teacher coordinates and provides direct instructional programs for special education students, including the development and implementation of individual education programs (Ieps). They are responsible for monitoring student progress, managing classroom behavior, and collaborating with staff and parents to support student needs.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and a north carolina professional educator’s license in an exceptional children’s teaching area. Additionally, a valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required, with preferred certifications in first aid, cpr, and crisis prevention and intervention.
