WHO IS University Health Physicians University Health Physicians (UHP) is the physician group practice for the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine (UMKC) in conjunction with its major teaching facility. UMKC supports several residencies and the candidate will have teaching responsibilities for Family Medicine obstetrics fellows, Family Medicine residents, and medical students. UHP is also the primary physician group for Truman Medical Centers Lakewood/University Health in Kansas City, MO. RESPONSIBILITIES The Department of Community and Family Medicine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, University Health and University Health Physicians seeks a full-time board-certified family physician with advanced surgical obstetric skills, including C-sections, to join our academic program located in a rapidly growing area of Kansas City. Maternity Care & Women’s Health are vital components of Family Medicine, and a strong component of our residency program. Additionally, the UMKC/UH Family Medicine Advanced Maternity Care Fellowship based at University Health Lakewood Medical Center exists to provide family medicine residency graduates who have a high degree of interest and experience in maternity care/women’s health opportunity to continue their training in Family Medicine Surgical Obstetrics/Maternity Care. This faculty position provides an opportunity to become a member of a dynamic, expanding academic program and allows for faculty development. The faculty will work directly supervising residents and fellows on Labor and Delivery and in clinic as well as providing family medicine for their own panel of patients.
