The literacy coach will engage in instructional modeling, lesson planning, and data review with reading teachers to improve instruction. They are also responsible for participating in professional learning and completing required state documentation for the Literacy Cadre.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree, a valid professional Indiana Teacher's License, and the Early Literacy Endorsement. A minimum of five years of teaching experience and demonstrated expertise in literacy coaching and evidence-based practices are required.
St. Michael-St. Gabriel, located on the west side of Indianapolis, is hiring a literacy coach for the 2026-2027 school year. The applicant would be interviewed by the school itself but must be approved by the Indiana Department of Education.
