Core responsibilities
The swim instructor is responsible for teaching proper stroke and swim techniques while ensuring safety in and around the water. They must also engage with members and guests to provide high-Quality service and support the ymca's mission.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be at least 16 years old and hold or obtain certifications in cpr, first aid, aed, and ymca lifeguarding or swim instruction. A criminal background check and child protective services check are required for employment.
