Core responsibilities
The faculty clinical pharmacist provides clinical pharmaceutical services and pharmacologic counseling within a family medicine residency clinic. They also participate in resident education, develop therapeutic plans for chronic diseases, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient medication regimens.
Requirements summary
Candidates must hold a doctor of pharmacy degree and a valid virginia pharmacist license. Completion of a pgy1 ashp-Accredited residency is preferred, along with board certification and prior experience with epic ehr systems.
