Job description

  • Middle School Chinese (Mandarin) Teacher (Part-Time) 2026–2027 School Year Application Review & Interviews: Applications will be reviewed and interviews will be scheduled beginning April 2026.
  • Colorado International Language Academy (CILA) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time Middle School Chinese (Mandarin) Teacher for the 2026–27 school year.
  • This position supports students as they develop Mandarin language proficiency and cultural understanding in an immersive environment.
  • This is a part-time position, approximately 3 hours per day, with the potential to increase to up to 6 hours per day as enrollment grows.
  • CILA is a tuition-free public charter school offering language immersion in Spanish, Mandarin, and German.
  • This Mandarin-language position plays a key role in fostering bilingualism, biliteracy, and global competence within a diverse school community.
  • Key Responsibilities: Teach Chinese (Mandarin) Language and Culture aligned with Colorado Academic Standards and CILA curriculum Deliver instruction primarily in Mandarin to support language immersion Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate middle school lessons Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners Assess student learning and provide timely, meaningful feedback Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and administration Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and expectations Participate in professional development, team meetings, and school-wide events

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required Colorado teaching license preferred but not required Fluency in Mandarin Chinese required (native or near-native proficiency preferred) Experience teaching middle school students preferred Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to differentiate instruction and support a range of learning needs Commitment to collaboration, reflection, and continuous improvement Enthusiasm for working in a multicultural, language immersion environment Salary & Benefits: Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and credentials.
