Student Worker – Office Assistant
Number of Openings: 2
Purpose/Objective of the Role
• To assist the Academic Assistant of the department with tasks related to the office and the department requests.
Tasks & Responsibilities
This position covers a variety of tasks such as greeting visitors, answering phone, copying, scanning, general office work, picking up and sorting mail, errands around campus when needed,
and miscellaneous other tasks. This person would also assist in making flyers for events, setting up/tearing down department events, and general help with on-campus lectures.
As Elliott Hall does not have an elevator, this position requires being able to walk up and down stairs.
Qualifications
- Hours will fall between 8:30-4:30pm Monday - Friday and will be scheduled for each semester according to the needs of both the student and the department.
- The pay rate for this position is standard minimum wage.
- Open to all FWS and non FWS students however preference is given to AGIS majors and minors (due to future departmental projects).
- Preferred experience with CANVA, copiers, scanners, google suites, and computers.
