Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program (OT) or Master’s Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program (OT) or Doctorate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program (OT) or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program (PT) or Master’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program (PT) or Doctorate from an accredited Physical Therapy Program (PT) 7 years of current clinical practice with at least 2-3 years of clinical experience as evidenced by progression of patient volume and clinical complexity in their resource area, and at least 2000 hours of specialty practice. BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association and OT - Licensed Occupational Therapist - State of Pennsylvania or OT - Occupational Therapist - National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Additional Qualifications Physical Demands Lift and carry 40-50 lbs.

Examples

Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking. Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. *Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
