Provides protection for university and hospital personnel, patients, and assets through patrols and fixed post duties. Responds to emergencies, investigates incidents, and enforces campus safety regulations.
Requires a high school diploma and a valid driver's license, with ACT 235 certification required within 90 days of hire. Prior experience in security, police, or military roles is preferred.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Prior security, police or military experience is preferred. Experience in campus/hospital security, law enforcement, or other related Criminal Justice agencies strongly preferred. PA only: Valid ACT 235 Certification required within 90 days of hire. Valid driver’s License required to work at certain Jefferson locations. Must be able to understand all responsibilities and technology associated with the 24-hour Security Response Center (SRC). Ability to function effectively with Microsoft desktop applications (i.e. Word, E-mail). Ability to work all shifts, and rotate between shifts as needed. This is a highly visible uniform position. Officers must be able to present excellent appearance at all times and also be equipped with all required security instruments.
