Assist teachers in reinforcing instruction for individuals or small groups of students with emotional and behavioral disorders. Support classroom policies, monitor student progress, and implement Restorative Practices and the TALID System.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with previous paraeducator or student-work experience preferred. Candidates must possess basic computer literacy in Microsoft 365 and the ability to maintain professional boundaries.
Behavioral Health Associates (BHA) is an educational organization. We offer an academic learning environment integrated with behavior support services for students diagnosed with emotional/behavioral disorders to empower the students in overcoming challenges and creating new stories in their lives. We currently have anticipated openings for full-time Instructional Assistants at our new PRIDE Program at Pottsville Academy, slated to open at the beginning of the 2026-2027 School Year.

POSITION GOAL Under the direction of the program director, assist the teacher in reinforcing instruction to individuals or small groups of students, including monitoring and reporting student progress.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Paraeducator experience from a previous school or agency, preferred Experience in working with children/students, preferred. Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff and leadership team, while maintaining professional boundaries. Positively represent and promote BHA services. Maintain confidentiality in all matters. Ability to work both independently and as a team. Communicate effectively utilizing both written and oral communication. Basic computer literacy with Microsoft/Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, etc.). Effectively utilize technology for communication and reporting needs.
