Teaches and supervises nursing students in classroom and clinical settings to facilitate the achievement of knowledge and skills. Contributes to the professional development of students and implements effective evaluation strategies.
Requires a Bachelor's in Nursing and a Master's in Nursing (or active enrollment) from an accredited program, plus 3 years of teaching experience. Must hold a valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Bachelor’s Degree Nursing and Master’s Degree Nursing (or actively enrolled) in ACEN/NLNAC or CCNE accredited program. 3 years Teaching in a classroom or clinical setting. Demonstrates integrity, stability, imagination, and discriminative judgment in instruction of nursing students. Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Demonstrates interest and respect for students. Demonstrates commitment to life-long learning. Demonstrates respect, collegiality, professionalism, and caring in relations with administration, staff, colleagues, and students. Knowledge of FERPA. Master’s Degree or Doctorate CNE - Certified Nurse Educator NLN - State of Pennsylvania within 180 Days Physical Demands Lift and carry 40-50 lbs.
Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking. Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. *Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
