Soccer Coach (Fall 2026) Season Dates

- Schedule:
- Part-time, weekday afternoons with occasional weekends
- Compensation: $5,000 – $6,000/per season, commensurate with experience Position Overview Franklin seeks a dynamic Soccer Coach to lead our Fall program. The coach will work closely with the Director of Athletics to build a program that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship, while ensuring a safe, positive environment for student-athletes.
Responsibilities
Design and lead engaging practices and competitive strategies. Model and cultivate teamwork, leadership, accountability, and commitment. Supervise student-athletes daily. Supervise and travel with student-athletes to and from all practices and competitions. Prioritize student-athlete health and safety, including the immediate reporting of injuries to the Athletic Director and school health office. Responsible for medical equipment at all practices, travel, and competitions. Report scores, maintain attendance, and provide program updates to the Athletic Department. Manage equipment and uniforms, ensuring accountability. Communicate with parents and players in a timely and effective manner. Read and adhere to all Athletic Department policies outlined in the Athletic Handbook. Foster strong relationships with athletes, families, colleagues, and the Franklin community. Demonstrate the highest respect for officials and serve as a role model in sportsmanship.
Qualifications
2+ years of high school and/or club soccer coaching experience preferred Experience working with youth athletes in camps, clinics, or officiating preferred Certifications and/or licenses from NFHS or sport federations are highly preferred Demonstrated ability to mentor, inspire, and connect with student-athletes Commitment to equity, inclusion, and belonging in all aspects of team culture Coaching Requirements per New Jersey Interscholastic Athletic Association required All coaches must complete the following certifications prior to working directly with student-athletes. Candidates may be hired conditionally without them, but completion is required before the first practice: NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching NFHS Concussion in Sports NFHS Heat Illness Prevention NFHS Implicit Bias BeNice Mental Health Education
