Position Title

Athletics Intramural Staff Job Category: Student Hourly Job Profile: Student Help Job Summary: Students will be hired for the Intramural Staff position and will be required to fill one of the following roles listed below. The sports for which we hire staff are: Basketball, Soccer/Futsal, Volleyball, Wiffleball, and Dodgeball. Intramurals play on weeknights between 6-10 pm on the UW-Parkside campus. Referee Role: Students working in this position do NOT need prior experience as an official. We will train new referees. Referee jersey and whistles will be provided. Required skills: Problem-Solving skills Ability to run up and down the court/field (for soccer/basketball, not for volleyball/wiffleball) Knowledge of the rules Prior playing experience in the sport (preferred) Job Duties: Calling fouls and violations during a game/match Communication with scorekeepers Managing sports contests Running up and down the court (basketball/futsal), up on a pedestal (volleyball) Scorekeeper Role: Students working in this position do NOT need prior experience as a scorekeeper. We will train new staff. Required Skills: Problem-Solving Skills Ability to focus on a sporting contest without distraction for 40 minutes General Sports knowledge Prior scoreboard experience (preferred) Knowledge of the rules (preferred) Prior playing experience in the sport (preferred) Job Duties: Checking in participants Keeping score for the game/match Keeping limited stats during the contest Using an electronic scoreboard/timer Key Job Responsibilities: Department: Athletics Compensation: $11.00 per hour Required Qualifications: Must be actively enrolled as a student at UW-Parkside How to Apply: To apply, click the Apply button at the top of this page.
