Job description
Carolina School Services (CSS) is hiring a Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing Wake Forest clinic team. This role is a great fit for an OT who loves functional, engaging pediatric therapy and wants flexibility now with the opportunity to build into a consistent, full-time caseload over time. Clinic-based pediatric OT (birth–21; caseload tailored to your strengths) Focus areas may include fine/visual motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, ADLs, executive functioning, and school readiness Opportunities for 1:1 sessions and potential small groups as the program grows Part-time to start, with room to grow into full-time as referrals build Flexible schedule — choose your consistent days/times (after-school and daytime options) Supportive team culture + strong administrative systems Compensation & Pay Structure $55–$65/hour (based on certifications, experience, and licensure) 1099 independent contractor Option to transition to W-2 as hours increase / schedule becomes more consistent
Responsibilities
Provide pediatric OT evaluations and treatment in an outpatient clinic setting Develop individualized plans of care with measurable, functional goals Provide interventions targeting fine motor/handwriting, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, regulation, coordination, and ADLs (as appropriate) Educate caregivers and provide practical home-program strategies for carryover Document evaluations, daily notes, progress updates, and discharge summaries in a timely manner Collaborate with clinic team members (SLP, mental health clinicians, learning specialists) to support whole-child goals Qualifications (Required) NC OT license (active or eligible) Pediatric experience preferred (clinic, school, EI, daycare, etc.) or strong interest in pediatrics
