Young people struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma come to Telos from across the world to find help and healing. As a mentor you will befriend, inspire, teach, and supervise the clients who live here. You will learn to help young people struggling with mental health challenges implement therapeutic tools in their lives.

Duties and Responsibilities

Inspire and assist the students in their personal development and treatment plan goals. Educating and training students adaptive skills Ensuring student safety Monitoring and carrying out consequences under the direction of the treatment team Charting in each student’s medical record on the HQ database Communicating and reporting to the treatment team Ensuring students are taking their meds in a safe manner Attending and maintaining current certifications such as CPR and first aid Participate in healthy recreation with clients (rock climbing, skiing, hiking, etc) Helps clients implement therapy skills, life skills, executive functioning skills and recreational skills in day-to-day living Attend weekly trainings Transportation of students

Ideal for former athletes, coaches, military personnel, or those comfortable with confrontation and de-escalation Requires strong presence, emotional control, and ability to influence behavior in real time Exceptional relationship skills Timely, dependable, reliable Ability to hold appropriate boundaries.
