Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience and/or higher education preferred. Previous experience working with youth in a group home, residential facility, foster care setting, behavioral health environment, or similar setting preferred. Must demonstrate the ability to effectively interact with, supervise, and support children and adolescents with varying emotional and behavioral needs. Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and observation skills required. Ability to maintain professionalism, boundaries, and confidentiality at all times. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance required in accordance with company policy. SUPERVISOR: Direct Care Supervisor

Job description/Duties

  • 1st Shift and 3rd Shift Available The Direct Care Staff is responsible for providing daily care, supervision, structure, and support to youth residing within the program. Staff are expected to create a safe, supportive, trauma-informed, and therapeutic environment while assisting youth with daily living skills, emotional regulation, social development, and behavioral expectations.
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supervising and monitoring youth at all times to ensure safety and well-being Assisting youth with daily living activities, including hygiene, meals, chores, laundry, homework, and personal responsibilities Preparing and serving meals and snacks as needed Providing transportation to appointments, school, activities, community outings, and other approved locations Supporting youth in developing healthy coping skills, communication skills, and appropriate social behaviors Assisting with behavior management and crisis intervention using approved trauma-informed and de-escalation techniques Maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and role modeling positive behaviors Completing required documentation accurately and timely, including shift notes, incident reports, medication logs, transportation logs, and other required records Reporting significant incidents, concerns, injuries, behavioral issues, or safety concerns immediately to leadership in accordance with policy Assisting with maintaining cleanliness, organization, and minor household maintenance tasks within the facility Participating in team meetings, trainings, and supervision as required Following all company policies, licensing standards, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements Supporting youth in educational, recreational, and independent living activities as appropriate Working collaboratively with supervisors, clinicians, case managers, families, and outside providers to support youth treatment goals Performs all other duties as assigned by the Direct Care Supervisor, and Executive Director.
