Responsibilities: SpEd Teacher
- Teach in a K-1 self-contained life skills classroom.
- Support and accommodate 8 to 10 students, several of whom have an Autism diagnosis.
- Assist students who are non-verbal or have limited verbal abilities.
- Provide support to students typically with assistance from paraprofessionals.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals and other school staff.
- Work on IEPs and or any other relevant tasks assigned.
Qualifications: Special Education Teacher
Relevant Bachelors and or Masters degree. Active IL PEL license with LBS1 endorsement. At least 1 year of SPED teacher experience preferred. Experience with ULS preferred.
