  • Status: Non-Exempt SUMMARY Assist in the Autism Clinic in developing a strong relationship with families to identify their needs and services by providing coordination and support to families through resources.
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Assist with the Autism Clinic to include filing, processing new referrals, and requesting records Conduct the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R) and developmental assessments for children through the Autism Clinic Collaborate with other Autism Clinic team members to assist with completion of final evaluation reports Attend monthly Autism Clinic team meetings Generate and maintaining a database of family recommendations and assisting families with accessing community resources Create family resource packets Be punctual and in attendance at work as scheduled LANGUAGE SKILLS: Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with families, public agencies and service providers.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in a social services field. Experience working with early childhood and/or autism spectrum disorder. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Alabama driver's license Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate the needs of children and their families.
