Job description

Washington Special Education Teacher - Full Time Support students who need targeted academic and behavioral support as a full-time Special Education Resource Room Teacher in Lake Stevens, Washington, starting August 2026. You’ll work with a caseload of students who receive services outside the general education classroom for part of their day, providing the specialized instruction they need to make meaningful progress.

You’ll plan and deliver small-group and individualized lessons, implement IEP goals, and collaborate closely with general education teachers to align supports with grade-level curriculum. Your days will include direct instruction, progress monitoring, accommodations and modifications, and frequent communication with families and the school team.

Requirements

Valid Washington teaching certification with the appropriate special education credential (ESA) Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution Experience working with students who receive services in a resource room or similar setting preferred Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
