- Job Summary The Extended Care Monitor supervises and cares for students participating in the school’s before-school and/or after-school extended care program.
- The monitor helps provide a safe, structured, nurturing, and faith-centered environment that supports the mission and values of Catholic education.Job Responsibilities Supervise students during before-school and/or after-school care programs Ensure student safety at all times during indoor and outdoor activities Assist with attendance, sign-in/sign-out procedures, and daily program routines Monitor student behavior and reinforce school rules and expectations using positive guidance Lead or assist with games, homework time, crafts, quiet activities, and recreational activities Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe extended care environment Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and administration as needed Respond appropriately to student needs, minor injuries, or emergencies according to school procedures Model Christian values, kindness, respect, and professionalism in all interactions Participate respectfully in prayer and faith-based activities as appropriate Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and school matters Follow all diocesan, school, health, safety, and child protection policies and procedures Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with children preferred Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to supervise and engage groups of children effectively Ability to maintain a calm, positive, and structured environment Commitment to supporting the mission and philosophy of Catholic education Completion of required background checks and safe environment training The Archdiocese of St.
