- We are seeking a cross divisional (MS/HS, 5th -12th grades) Mandarin teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year to join a passionate and dedicated language department.

- Our ideal candidate has experience teaching MS and HS language and can easily teach Mandarin as a vehicle through which to learn content.
- We are looking for someone with native-like proficiency who enjoys teaching Middle School students as young as 4th grade and High School students up to 12th grade.
- Experience teaching MS/HS Mandarin, language teaching/methodology training, and understanding of ACTFL standards and proficiency guidelines is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Teach 2 courses (MS and/or HS grade levels);
- Design engaging curricula and lesson plans, working with others in the department;
- Engage actively in departmental and school-wide community engagement and belonging efforts;
- Work one-on-one with students daily for support and enrichment;
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred;
- Minimum of three years relevant teaching experience; middle and high school teaching strongly preferred;
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive practices, with respect to pedagogy, curriculum, literary interests, and/or community engagement;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Mandarin and English;
- Facility with relevant educational technologies.
