Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota (LSS) seeks a group coordinator to provide leadership for all aspects of the Evening Reporting Center at the Arise Youth Center. This position requires coordinating with community partners, youth and families to enhance community living skills for program participants. Responsibilities

  • Ensure high quality customer service that is responsive to client needs
  • Schedule new client intake inquiries for group services for Evening Report Center.
  • Complete intake paperwork with youth and parent/guardian
  • Input all necessary information into EHR system
  • Communicate with County partners, court officials, and law enforcement, as needed.
  • Collect, analyze and input data on referral sources for incoming clients, client success and to assist in contract and grant completion.
  • Complete group development and implementation
  • Complete weekly court updates to necessary stakeholders.
  • Complete referrals for youth and their families for ongoing services, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, plus one year experience working in human service environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bi-lingual skills may be desirable.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and able to complete orientation training according to agency program standards.
  • Must successfully complete all agency background checks, which include checks to detect criminal convictions of behavior harmful towards children, spousal abuse, and drug or sex crimes.
  • Requires active auto-insurance, a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one with approved driver status.
