- Responsible for the development, coordination, and teaching of EMS courses and continuing education programs which meet established state and national standards.
- Job Requirements In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: Education: High School Diploma/GED, required Experience: 5 years of related experience in emergency medical services (EMS), preferably in both: field (911 ambulance and/or fire agency) and in hospital.
- 3 years experience in instructing students by using adult learning principles and instructional methodologies.
- Prefer experience in developing education programs.
- Knowledge of the EMS, Law Enforcement and Fire Department agencies in service area.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing raw data, finding trends, and preparing statistical reports.
- Knowledge and experience in medical/trauma terminology, disease conditions, pharmacology, cardiology, treatment modalities, therapeutic testing and interventions.
- Knowledge and experience in computer instructional technology and Microsoft Office Professional software.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current Healthcare License and/or Paramedic Certification in state of employment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required, must obtain *BLS Instructor Certification with 1 year of hire/transfer date.
- If at the time of hire/transfer date candidate has BLS, ACLS, PALS Instructor Certifications than the basic BLS, ACLS and PALS Certifications are not required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor Certification (AHA ACLS) within one year of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor Certification (AHA PALS) within one year of hire.
