  • Job Responsibilities

Assist the classroom teacher with instructional activities, lesson preparation, and classroom management Support students in small groups or one-on-one to reinforce academic skills Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, recess, and lunch as needed Assist with preparing and organizing instructional materials and classroom resources Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development in a positive manner Reinforce classroom routines, expectations, and Catholic values Communicate effectively with the teacher and school staff regarding student needs Perform other duties as assigned to support the classroom and school community

Job Qualifications

High school diploma required; associate’s degree or coursework in education preferred Experience working with young children in a school or childcare setting preferred Patience, flexibility, and a positive, nurturing attitude Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students Commitment to supporting the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church Ability to assist with physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and active supervision Completion of background screening and compliance with Archdiocese Prevent and Protect STL Safe Environment Program required
