Supervise and teach K-8 Jewish Studies classes by following provided lesson plans to ensure a consistent learning experience. Manage classroom behavior and supervise students during transitions, recess, and dismissal.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree, previous teaching experience, and fluency in Hebrew. Knowledge of Torah, Jewish holidays, and Jewish history is required to effectively lead students.
Sinai Akiba Academy is seeking qualified K-8 substitute teachers for the 2025-2026 academic year for Jewish Studies classes. A substitute teacher supervises and teaches students in the event that their regular teacher is unable to lead class. This position requires availability to accept assignments when scheduled in advance or, occasionally, at the last minute. The ideal candidate is responsive and will demonstrate: responsibility, safe management of students, emotional intelligence, a growth mindset, self-motivation, positive energy, strong interpersonal skills, a service-oriented and team approach to work, approachability, flexibility, and clear communication skills.
