Job description
Transition Coach Purpose Transition Coaches provide direct care and therapeutic support to adolescents in a residential treatment setting. Through relationship-based, trauma-informed care, they help students build emotional regulation, resilience, and independence while preparing for life beyond treatment.

- Friday 7am - 3pm

- Saturday 7am - 3pm

- Saturday 2:30pm - 3pm Each schedule will require one full Sunday shift per month, 8am - 10pm. Key Responsibilities Build strong, professional relationships with students through daily engagement and activities Support emotional regulation, accountability, and real-world skill development Implement treatment plans and provide behavioral support, including crisis intervention when needed Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment Supervise students during routines, recreation, and off-campus activities Transport students to appointments and outings (as needed) Complete documentation and communicate with the treatment team Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment
Qualifications
Experience working with youth (residential, education, recreation, or similar) preferred Strong communication skills and ability to build trust while maintaining boundaries Calm, dependable, and able to handle high-stress situations Willing to be trained in CPR/First Aid and crisis intervention (provided) Must be 20+ years old; valid driver's license preferred Physical & Work Environment Active role including standing, walking, hiking, and participating in recreational activities Ability to respond to crises, including physical interventions when trained Work occurs in residential homes, classrooms, and outdoor settings in varying conditions Why This Role Matters You'll play a key role in helping students gain the skills, confidence, and independence needed to successfully transition into everyday life.
