- Louis.Job Summary The Teacher Aide I supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, faith-centered, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children in the Early Childhood Learning Center.
- The aide assists with classroom activities, supervision, daily routines, and implementation of educational and Catholic values-based programs.Job Responsibilities Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom instruction and activities.
- Supervise children during classroom, playground, lunch, rest, and transition times.
- Help prepare classroom materials, learning centers, and instructional resources.
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development.
- Reinforce positive behavior and classroom expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Assist with toileting, handwashing, meals, and other personal care needs as appropriate.
- Participate in faith-based activities, prayer, and religious celebrations consistent with Catholic teachings.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with staff, parents, and children.
- Observe and report student concerns, incidents, or developmental issues to the Lead Teacher or Director.
- Follow all diocesan, state licensing, and safety regulations.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Teacher or ECLC Director.
- Job Requirements Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required. Coursework or experience in early childhood education preferred. Experience working with young children in a childcare, preschool, or educational setting preferred.
