About the role

The role involves teaching History related coursework to students. Instructors are responsible for delivering lessons using various methods based on college and student needs.

Part-Time Faculty - ISD Dual Credit - History At San Jacinto College (SJC), our hiring process ensures all part-time faculty meet proper credentialing requirements for positions they are qualified to tech, including campus-based courses.

To maintain consistency, all part-time faculty must complete prescreening steps and submit new hire paperwork.

If selected for this role, you will complete new hire paperwork, which ensures payment for any required or annual training completed as part of SJC’s onboarding process.

Teaching History related course work.

Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed if openings become available.

These positions are not current vacancies.

Instructors employed as part-time faculty are not entitled to all the rights, privileges, and benefits of regular, full-time employees.

Part-time faculty are hired on an "as needed" basis and will work for the duration of time specified by the respective course.

A portion of teaching assignment may be evening classes and possibly weekend classes.

Faculty are assigned to teach courses using various delivery methods based on the teaching area and the needs of students and the College, which may require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location.

Required Qualifications: Master's Degree with eighteen (18) graduate hours in History.

Salary Grade: AH Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year.
