Job description
- Part-Time Faculty - ISD Dual Credit - History At San Jacinto College (SJC), our hiring process ensures all part-time faculty meet proper credentialing requirements for positions they are qualified to tech, including campus-based courses.
- To maintain consistency, all part-time faculty must complete prescreening steps and submit new hire paperwork.
- If selected for this role, you will complete new hire paperwork, which ensures payment for any required or annual training completed as part of SJC’s onboarding process.
- Teaching History related course work.
- Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed if openings become available.
- These positions are not current vacancies.
- Instructors employed as part-time faculty are not entitled to all the rights, privileges, and benefits of regular, full-time employees.
- Part-time faculty are hired on an "as needed" basis and will work for the duration of time specified by the respective course.
- A portion of teaching assignment may be evening classes and possibly weekend classes.
- Faculty are assigned to teach courses using various delivery methods based on the teaching area and the needs of students and the College, which may require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location.
- Required Qualifications: Master's Degree with eighteen (18) graduate hours in History.
- Salary Grade: AH Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year.
