Position Title

Adjunct, History Time Type: Part time Position Summary and Qualifications: Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct 1 to 2 world history courses each semester on an “as needed” basis. Courses available for adjunct staffing are offered during the day and in the evening. — Saint Joseph’s University (SJU) offers a wide variety of bachelor's, master's, doctoral, associate and certifi cate programs. With a commitment to personalized attention through a low faculty to student ratio, SJU may call on the expertise of adjunct instructors to complement the work of full-time faculty across all of its colleges and schools. SJU appoints part-time, non-tenure track adjunct instructors on a semester-to-semester basis with no guarantee of consecutive appointments. Re-appointment is based on university need, student enrollment, and satisfactory performance. Applicants for these positions are screened on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. Teaching responsibilities are assigned by the department chair. Compensation for adjunct instructors is commensurate with educational credentials, professional, experience and instructional background. Minimum Qualifications

Required M.A. or Ph.D. in history(or closely related fields) Comfortable with teaching a variety of world history courses Open to teaching in-person Please be sure to include a Cover Letter, CV, and three references with your application.
