Job description

  • As a mental health counselor, you will oversee individual and group counseling as assigned, maintaining an active caseload of students.
  • Consultation with academic departments, residence life, the registrar's office, academic affairs, and admission is occasionally required.
  • You will provide students with community referrals and supervise department trainees and interns.
  • Among other duties, you will complete outreach for assigned psychoeducational program development and presentations, promptly document student contact in the computerized documentation system, and participate in quarterly student orientations.
  • Responsibilities include student crisis intervention, participation in department performance improvement initiatives, and the preparation of PRs for supervisor approval.
  • You will also maintain a personal schedule within the master and computerized schedule and inform your supervisor of staff development needs.
  • As assigned, you will complete on-call duties.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's or doctoral degree in counseling, social work, or psychology
  • Training or experience in utilizing brief therapy models

• Associate license or fully license eligible within three years of hire (associate license expected within one year)

Work hours

  • The university work week is Sunday through Saturday.
  • Most offices are open
  • Monday through
