  • Part Time, Non-Exempt SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday
  • 2:45 PM – 6:00 PM

Summary

Provide supervision, academic support, and engaging activities for school-age children in an afterschool extended day program. This role ensures a safe, structured, and positive environment while supporting students’ educational and developmental needs.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide tutoring and homework assistance to participating students · Supervise assigned students and maintain a safe, orderly classroom environment · Plan and implement daily activities for children · Ensure accurate student sign-in and sign-out procedures · Assist with planning and supporting parent involvement activities · Complete required documentation (attendance, food program, incident and accident reports) · Communicate with parents and promote program participation and enrollment · Maintain cleanliness and organization of classrooms and program areas · Always ensure the safety and well-being of all children · Participate in staff meetings and required trainings · Communicate concerns regarding students or families to the Program Coordinator · Maintain confidentiality of all children, family, and program information

Qualifications

& Skills: · Strong math and reading skills · Effective written and verbal communication skills · Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team · Strong organizational and supervision skills · Ability to engage and manage groups of school-age children · Professional and dependable demeanor

Physical & Work Requirements

· Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds · Ability to sit, kneel, bend, twist, and move at a child’s level · Ability to visually and auditorily supervise children in classrooms, playgrounds, and during field trips

Certifications & Training Requirements

· CPR, First Aid, and Preventing Disease Transmission certification · Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening · Participation in required trainings and professional development
