Ess-Endorsed teacher (Middle school) general information

  • Villa Bella Expeditionary (VBE) is a K-8th District 70 charter school. VBE uses an Expeditionary Learning/professional development curriculum and Illustrative Mathematics. VBE follows the District 70 calendar but requires professional development at least one Friday per month. VBE seeks energetic, compassionate, hard-working individuals whose educational philosophies align with EL Education.

  • FUNCTION: The primary function of the ESS teacher is to provide opportunities for student growth, develop and provide specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students, evaluate and assess student progress against instructional objectives, follow state-mandated due-process procedures, and function as an IEP Manager for assigned students.

Qualifications

Certification: Colorado Educator License with Special Education Generalist endorsement EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required. ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSABILITIES: Provides research-based specialized instruction to address the instructional goals and objectives contained within each student's IEP. Assess student progress and determine the need for additional reinforcement or adjustments to instructional techniques. Employs various teaching techniques, methods, and learning principles to enable students to meet their IEP goals. Develops and implements annual Individualized Educational Program (IEP) plans for students, including present levels of educational performance, special education needs, instructional goals and objectives, and the special education and related services required to meet those goals. Schedules team meetings and cooperates with team members and others to develop goals and strategies. Creates a positive learning experience with emphasis on individualized instruction. Conducts special education evaluations and reevaluations. Complies with School Board policies and all state/federal rules and regulations. Completes all district and state reporting requirements.
