Division/Department Information

The English Department at St. John's University's College of Arts & Sciences features a wide variety of specializations within English Studies from Chaucer and Shakespeare to Post-colonial Studies and contemporary theoretical approaches. Successful candidates will join a vibrant department and are invited to attend departmental events, including invited speakers and student-centered events.

Responsibilities

  • Adjunct Instructors will teach one or two courses per semester in Literature in a Global Context. Courses will be offered primarily in-person
  • Instructors will hold regular office hours for students
  • Instructors will guide, advise, and mentor students academically and professionally

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in English or an appropriate cognate field of study.
