  • Qualifications / Training:

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in English or a related field. Teaching certification or equivalent professional training. Strong pedagogical understanding of English instruction, assessment, and differentiation. Commitment to ongoing professional learning and development.

Experience / Knowledge

  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of English content and effective instructional practices.
  • Designs coherent sequences of lessons that deepen understanding and build complex skills.
  • Uses formative and summative assessment to guide instruction, diagnose learning needs, and provide actionable feedback.
  • Understands how young people develop and learns to personalize instruction based on ability, background, interests, and learning needs.
  • Creates and maintains high expectations for student progress, behaviour, and classroom culture.
  • IB and/or AP experience is preferred.
