The teacher will deliver Spanish language instruction to four sections of middle school students and manage classroom activities. Responsibilities include collaborating with school stakeholders and participating in campus life, including chaperoning trips and supervising students.
A bachelor's degree in Spanish Language or Studies is required, with a master's degree and 3+ years of teaching experience preferred. Candidates must be fluent in both Spanish and English and possess a strong understanding of middle school developmental needs.

Job Summary: Under minimal supervision, and on a full-time basis, teaches Middle School level Spanish courses as needed. Specific Responsibilities: Teaches four sections of Middle-School level Spanish Provides classroom instruction and management Collaborates with colleagues, students, parents and administrators as appropriate Actively participates in the life of the school including participating in an overnight trip, chaperoning activities, helping with lunchroom supervision, etc. Is familiar with and comply with all policies and regulations as put forth in the school’s documents Establish and cultivate community relations by maintaining open dialogue with all the school’s constituencies Vigorously engages in their own professional development Since safety and security are everyone’s responsibility, takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, faculty, staff, equipment, materials and facilities Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Required Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Spanish Language or Spanish Studies required Master’s degree preferred 3+ years’ teaching experience preferred Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Fluency in both Spanish and English required Flexibility, enthusiasm and adaptability to meet the needs of the students and program Commitment to teaching the whole child Excellent verbal and written communication skills Understanding of the developmental needs of Middle School-aged students A working understanding of Universal Design for Learning and Understanding by Design concepts Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusivity Ability to maintain confidential information Ability and flexibility to use Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, learning management systems, online meeting and conferencing applications, and operating Audio/Visual equipment.
