Requires a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field and a valid Connecticut Special Education certification. Experience providing academic interventions to elementary-aged students is preferred.

EDU-AIDS is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Certified Learning Specialist to support elementary school students in Bridgeport, CT. The Learning Specialist will provide targeted academic interventions and individualized support to help students strengthen academic skills, executive functioning, organization, and overall classroom success.
This role works collaboratively with general education teachers, special education staff, families, and school administrators to develop effective learning strategies that support diverse student needs.
Provide individualized and small-group academic support in reading, math, and other core subject areas. Develop and implement intervention strategies to support student achievement. Assist students with executive functioning, study skills, organization, and learning strategies. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional supports as needed. Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify learning barriers and implement effective instructional practices. Partner with families and school staff to support student growth and success. Maintain accurate documentation of student interventions and progress. Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Special Education, Instructional Design, or a related field. Valid Connecticut Special education certification, or other relevant educational credential as required by the district. Experience providing academic interventions and individualized student support. Strong knowledge of reading, math, executive functioning, and learning strategies. Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and educational technology is a plus.
