Requires a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and eligibility for South Carolina licensure. CCC-SLP certification is preferred, and experience with autism, AAC, or early intervention is highly desired.
The Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist is a full-time, hourly position responsible for providing evaluation, treatment, and ongoing care for children from birth through age 18. This role focuses on helping children develop communication, language, speech, feeding, and swallowing skills through evidence-based speech-language pathology services. Speech-Language Pathologists at The Therapy Place work with children presenting with a wide range of diagnoses and developmental needs, including speech sound disorders, language delays, autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, feeding challenges, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) needs. You will develop individualized plans of care, provide direct therapy services, and collaborate closely with families to support carryover across home, school, and community environments. This position offers the opportunity to work within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team that includes occupational therapists, physical therapists, educators, behavioral health professionals, and support staff. Therapists may also collaborate within the Bridges School program, supporting an integrated therapy and education model. This is a full-time, hourly role with consistent scheduling and the opportunity to earn overtime based on caseload and clinic needs. What you'll do Conduct comprehensive speech-language, communication, and feeding evaluations Develop and implement individualized plans of care Provide direct, evidence-based speech-language therapy services to pediatric patients Assess, recommend, and support the implementation of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems as appropriate Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Educate caregivers and provide home programs to support skill development and carryover Complete accurate and timely documentation in compliance with clinic, state, and payer requirements Maintain compliance with HIPAA and professional standards Collaborate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, educators, behavioral health providers, and administrative staff Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and care coordination Supervise Clinical Fellows, Speech-Language Pathology Assistants, and students as assigned Participate in trainings, continuing education, and professional development
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Eligible for and maintains South Carolina licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows encouraged to apply Experience or strong interest in pediatric speech-language pathology Experience with feeding therapy, AAC, autism spectrum disorder, and/or early intervention preferred Strong clinical reasoning and ability to adapt treatment to individual needs Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Passion for working with children and supporting families
