  • Function: The Qualified Behavior Interventionist provides direct and indirect support to administrators, teachers, students and families with the coordination of student¿s daily behavior regulation, relationship building and problem solving.
  • Essential

  • Responsibilities: Provides behavioral leadership and staff development focused on evidence-based behavioral practices. Modeling of evidenced-based behavior supports while working directly with students. Coaching, consulting and collaborating with staff and building administrator(s) on evidenced-based positive behavior supports put in place for individual students. Assists in identifying, acquiring and organizing available resources for students and staff. Collects, analyzes, and utilizes behavioral data, to identify and implement strategies to drive positive behavioral changes. Collaborates with Child Study Team Members, and classroom teachers as part of Individual Problem-Solving Process. Identifies behavioral escalation and implements effective de-escalation strategies. Seeks to minimize student exclusionary discipline by identifying students with high behavioral needs and providing targeted student specific interventions. Monitor staff fidelity to Behavior Intervention Plans. Observe staff implementing interventions for procedural accuracy.
