Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. A degree in Multilingual Education, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), or a related linguistic field is preferred.
- Hold or be eligible for a valid teaching certification in English as a Second Language (ESL) or Multilingual Education.
- Proven experience in classroom teaching at the elementary or middle school level, with a demonstrated track record of supporting diverse linguistic populations.
- Strong understanding of state academic standards paired with English Language Development (ELD) curriculum frameworks (WIDA).
- Ability to utilize diverse, research-based instructional methods and scaffolding techniques tailored to different language proficiency tiers.
