Provide after-school care and programming for students aged 5-11, ensuring a well-managed and engaging classroom environment. Responsibilities include planning activities, supervising snacks, and maintaining accurate attendance and cleanliness.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old with a passion for teaching; ECTs prefer 1-2+ years of licensed child care experience and a Bachelor's degree. Must be able to pass a background check and meet the physical demands of standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Description Aspen Academy has an amazing opportunity for a part time Early Childhood Teacher for the remainder of the 26-27 School Year. Under the direction of the Extended Care Program Lead, the position provides after school care and programming for up to 45 students, ages 5-11. Start date is August 19, 2026 through June 4, 2027.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications: Minimum: high energy, passion for teaching great kids. 16-years or older. ECTs Preferred: 1-2+ years’ experience working in licensed child care programs. Bachelor’s Degree or some college level coursework, preferably in education, child development, etc. Aides Preferred: some experience working with children. Excellent communication skills, organizational and time management skills. Ability to use diplomacy and tact with community, staff and the general public. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Grant permission for a background check. Meet physical demands to perform essential functions of the role.
