Child Development & Care Provide attentive, nurturing care for infants, toddlers, and/or preschoolers. Implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum using Creative Curriculum. Foster a warm, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued. Observe and assess children’s development to support their learning journey. Family Support & Engagement Partner with families to support children’s development and learning. Share insights and guidance to help parents strengthen caregiving skills. Communicate regularly with parents in a supportive and professional manner. Team Collaboration Assist in supervising assistant teachers, volunteers, and student interns. Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive, team-oriented environment. Attend staff meetings and complete required trainings. Program Support Assist the Director with daily center operations, including classroom setup, materials, and organization. Maintain a clean, safe, and well-equipped learning environment. Follow all Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) and Children’s Friend policies and procedures. Continue working toward a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (if not already obtained). Skills & Strengths Warm, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with children. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Experience working with culturally diverse populations. Reliable, organized, and team-oriented.
EEC Teacher Certification (Infant/Toddler and/or Preschool) required. Valid driver's license (Class C or D). Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
