Trinity University is seeking a Part-Time Faculty for the Fall 2026 semester to teach the following course: EDUC 5671-1: Clinical Practice for Grades 7-12 : A supervised internship in secondary school sites where comprehensive practical experiences involving the school and community are provided. Students work with a team of professors, classroom teachers, and other school personnel to research, assess, and internalize the teaching-learning process. These teams rotate through a variety of settings in the secondary schools. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Typical responsibilities of part-time faculty members include but are not limited to: Developing the course syllabus and ensuring that the syllabus meets departmental and University standards Assigning early, midterm, and final grades in compliance with University deadlines Maintaining office hours as directed by the department chair or program director Making student accommodations as determined by the Office of Student Accessibility Services Adhering to all instructional policies as published in the Faculty Handbook and the Courses of Study Bulletin Supervising internships in EC-12 contexts Providing coaching and feedback to graduate students/interns in teaching on teaching and classroom practice Guiding development of teaching and professional practice Providing feedback on lesson plans and teaching materials Guiding and supporting inquiry and reflective practice Performance-based assessment (professional skills and dispositions, mastery portfolio) Coaching for skill development and mastery Informal and formal assessments and feedback Coaching via formal and informal checkpoint conferences Guidance for working in schools and professional settings, including classrooms, departments, team, and other professional communities APPOINTMENT DETAILS This position will be a one-semester appointment ] QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION Required: Master's degree in education Preferred: Texas T-TESS assessor and/or field supervisor certification EXPERIENCE Required: At least 3 years of EC-12 teaching in a Texas public school.
