Market context

Special education support roles remain in demand

In Pennsylvania, Instructional Support Specialist roles in special education and behavioral support are often tied to schools serving students with complex needs, so employers look for candidates who can stay calm, follow behavior plans, and work closely with classroom teams. These positions can be competitive because a high school diploma is the minimum, while an associate degree or related experience can strengthen an application. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits on this page against the original job description to save research time, and highlight any direct experience with behavioral healthcare or special education in your application.
