At New Dawn Academy, we are committed to providing every child with a supportive, engaging, and inspiring learning experience. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Elementary School Teacher who is passionate about helping students achieve academic success.

  • Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom culture that promotes academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments and provide meaningful feedback.
  • Differentiate instruction to support students with varying learning styles and abilities.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and academic goals.
  • Collaborate with administrators and fellow educators to enhance curriculum and instructional practices.
  • Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and grading documentation.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
  • Uphold school policies and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment.

Requirements

Required Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a K-8 Self-Contained Endorsement Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, engaging, learning environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Experience integrating educational technology into daily instruction (Google Classroom, SMART Boards, educational apps, etc.) Strong organizational skills Commitment to continuous professional growth and student success.
