The Clinician in Training shares a caseload with a mentor BCBA to learn the responsibilities of a Behavior Analyst. Key tasks include creating learner materials, assisting with progress reports, and conducting integrity checks for behavior technicians.
Candidates must have accrued 1650 supervision hours and be in the process of finishing supervision or awaiting BCBA exam results. Physical ability to lift and transport clients up to 30 pounds is required.
Description We’re building ‘the’ Teaching Hospital for pediatric therapy — a category of one by driving excellence in outcomes, developing clinicians, building payer trust, and embedding systems across what we do.
Our centers are open Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am – 5pm. We primarily work with children between the ages of 2-9 in a center-based environment.
The Clinician in Training is an entry level Behavior Analyst role that is designed to give the candidate a hands-on training experience by pairing them with an experienced BCBA who will serve as their mentor as they go through the CiT Training sequence. The CiT has a primary responsibility to accelerate client success through responsibilities delegated by their assigned BCBA mentor. By sharing a caseload and pod, the mentor BCBA will serve as a model as the CiT learns all of the responsibilities and tasks that they would need to complete as a Behavior Analyst.
Is the Clinician in Training role a good fit for you? Here are our requirements: Do you enjoy working with children and love learning? Do you demonstrate Bierman’s core values? Are you able to lift, transport, and chase clients (minimum of 30 pounds) as needed? If so, apply today! achieving remarkable progress with children, creating a great team that enjoys working together, and building a workplace that fosters internal career paths and growth for our team members. Our dedication to progress led us to a pivotal moment. Recognizing the potential of center-based care, we opened our first center in Indiana in 2010. This wasn’t just about location; it shifted our philosophy. Centers allowed us to create consistent, nurturing environments tailored to each child’s needs.
This shift became the cornerstone of our success. Today, Bierman Autism Centers are beacons of innovative care across Arizona, Indiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, and Rhode Island. We offer ABA therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Diagnostic Services within center-based settings designed for the comprehensive development of our children.
Market context
In Massachusetts, clinician-in-training roles are often sought by candidates nearing BCBA certification or completing supervision, so competition can be strong among applicants with the right hours and exam timing. Physical requirements, including lifting and transporting clients up to 30 pounds, can also narrow the field. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits here to save research time, then confirm your supervision status and readiness for the physical demands before applying.
