Description The Denver Waldorf School (DWS) seeks a qualified candidate to join our faculty as a Middle School and High School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher beginning with the 2026–2027 school year. This is a part-time position (approximately 12 hours per week) that includes teaching English Language Arts track classes for grades 6–8 and supporting the High School writing curriculum for up to four periods each week.
Knowledge of Waldorf educational philosophy is preferred.
Education Requirements/Certification Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field required; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience teaching English Language Arts. Knowledge of Waldorf education or a willingness to learn Waldorf pedagogical principles. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and families. The employee is expected to be on campus for all assigned teaching periods, meetings, and other responsibilities necessary to fulfill the duties of the position. This may include faculty collaboration, student support, and occasional school events or meetings as assigned.
