Position Summary

Under the direction of center administration the Infant/Toddler teacher is responsible for coordinating and implementing individual education plans for children ages 6 weeks – 3 years. The infant/toddler teacher supports the lead teacher in providing a safe and educational learning environment for the children.

  • Provide high-quality learning environment that incorporates evidence-based curriculum and instructional activities
  • Support the lead teacher to provide the highest quality of care to the infants and toddlers
  • Attend and participate in all scheduled trainings in support of ongoing professional development
  • Provide an enhanced curriculum focused on social-emotional development, early language and literacy, and physical development
  • Curriculum
  • Positively engage with children and use appropriate Conscious Discipline methods, as outlined in CWCC’s policy
  • Perform the functions of this position with a strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices
  • Meet with lead teacher and aide to review lesson plans and individual child goals and assign best teaching practices
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of learning experiences that promote all developmental domains
  • Assessment
  • Identify concerns or developmental milestones of primary care children to the lead teacher
  • Coordinate with the lead teacher and aide to develop activities and use instructional materials appropriate for infants and toddlers
  • Assist in the completion of informal and formal assessments at the discretion of the lead teacher
