  • The Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing developmentally appropriate instruction that supports the spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth of young children while fostering a safe, joyful, and Christ‑centered learning environment.Job Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with diocesan, state, and school curriculum standards.
  • Integrate Catholic teachings, values, and traditions into daily lessons, routines, and classroom culture.
  • Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment for preschool‑aged children.
  • Support the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of each child.
  • Observe, assess, and document student progress; communicate progress with families as appropriate.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of young children.
  • Maintain accurate records related to attendance, assessments, and student performance.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with parents and guardians.
  • Collaborate with fellow preschool staff, support staff, and administration.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school liturgies, and events.
  • Supervise students during classroom activities and transitions.
  • Uphold school policies and actively support the mission of Catholic education.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Job Requirements Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field required.
  • Valid early childhood teaching certification/license preferred (or ability to obtain per diocesan and state requirements).
  • Experience teaching preschool or early childhood students preferred.
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Patient, flexible, and nurturing approach to teaching young children.
  • Practicing Catholic preferred; must support and respect Catholic teachings and traditions.
